Now that we’ve sprung forward, it’s also time to consider upgrading your library. The forward thinking black man is a well-read individual. Two brothers offer great opportunities to enhance your personal book club. Healthyblackmen.org Contributor George Stewart is the author of an inspirational book for young males, written from a father-to-son perspective. And Mr. Brandon Frame, founder of TheBlackManCan.org shares a brilliant personal guided journal.

Journaling has been around since the first teenage cave-girl had a crush on the first cave-boy. There is something fulfilling about the ritual of documenting your thoughts, feelings, and ambitions- even more intimate than a best friend or confidant. Whether it’s a diary, a journal, or a personal blog, the 21st century brings the concept full circle with a Guided Journal for Black Boys and Men by The Black Man Can.

Thank you to TheBlackManCan for bringing us Define Yourself, Redefine the World: A Guided Journal for Black Boys and Men, a one-of-a-kind proactive tool that will help to propel any man, young or otherwise, to actively question the man he desires to be.  It is a journal that will open your mind, strengthen your heart, and provide you with an outlet to release your thoughts. It explores topics related to education, spirituality, purpose, passion, career, and more.

Two lucky tweeps will win one copy each of the journal and Words of Wisdom by tweeting this article by noon est March 15, 2013. Mr. George Stewart is not only one of our own Contributors at healthyblackmen.org but is an educator, author, motivational speaker, and a certified Fatherhood Practitioner/Healthy Relationships Educator. He’s dedicated to uplifting and the overall betterment of young men. He recently wrote and published his book, “Words of Wisdom for My Son.”

The book originated from a simple course assignment and inspired him to write “Words of Wisdom for My Son.” As a father, George uses straight talk, drawing from his faith and his life experiences to guide his son down the right path. This inspirational book is for any young brother that needs a positive male role model. George calls it “mentorship in a book.”  Additional details can be found at gstew2.com.
