Really Bad Ink
Millions of guys get tatted up every day, but most men avoid getting inked anywhere near the penis. And just like getting a piercing on the penile skin, injecting it with ink can lead to problems. For men who simply can’t resist the urge to ink, being aware may help prevent lasting penis problems.
Five major reasons to avoid getting your johnson tattooed are below but let me start with number one reason. It’s an extreme choice, no matter how you see it and should be avoided. But this is an opinion from a guy who has nothing pierced or tattooed – full disclosure.
Infection– Poking holes in the skin can introduce foreign invaders to the body, especially when proper precautions are not taken. Tattooing should be done by a professional, in a hygienic setting, using sanitary equipment.
Scarring– Scarring of the penis skin and the underlying connective tissue can lead to loss of sensitivity. No matter how much lubricant used, sensitivity may be forever gone.
Nerve damage– The skin of the penis is dense with nerve endings that transmit pleasurable sensations to the brain. If this nerve tissue is damaged by a misplaced needle, loss of sensation may result. Vitamins to support nerve cell repair may alleviate the risk of reduced sensitivity and impaired function.
Priapism– Last but not least, tattooing the penis can result in a long-term erection, a condition known as priapism. It can actually cause scarring, nerve damage and permanent loss of function. Who wants that? A few years ago it was reported that a young Iranian man accidentally pierced an artery, preventing the blood from draining from the penis and caused permanent semi-erection.
For those who simply can’t resist take a few precautions and save yourself some real health problems. First, observe proper penis care and keep the penis healthy. Second, clean regularly with a mild cleanser. Thirdly, remember tattooing should never be attempted on cracked, chafed or irritated skin. Moisturizing can help to alleviate the effects of rough handling and prevent further irritation.
Only hire a reputable tattoo artist who does not reuse needles.
