Healthy Man of the Month – August 2014
Chris Houston is not just a personal fitness trainer but a creative motivational guru with a track record of client success.
He works with athletes, entertainers, business professionals, and individuals looking to build better, stronger lives. Chris’ unique fitness programs and custom workouts are packed with motivation, intensity, and positive results.
The Chicago native has always loved sports. So naturally, basketball legend, Michael Jordan, is his idol. In an attempt to “be like Mike,” Chris tried out for but was roundly rejected for his high school basketball team. But as you might imagine, a determined young man will work harder than most and Chris worked extremely hard.
He landed a spot on the basketball team the following year. This return on investment reinforced the importance of never giving up on yourself or your goals.
Shortly after high school, Chris found a sense of peace in the gym and became committed to fitness. While reassessing his path in life, he discovered the power of fitness and how it could transform the body and mind. Chris eventually developed a passion for helping others.
Chris has been a vital part of the health and fitness community since first becoming a certified trainer in 2000. He continues to learn, grow, and develop programs that help people build better and stronger lives.
Our August Healthy Man of the Month has achieved quite a bit in his young life. Among his contributions, he has launched the Chris Houston Fitness Challenge, The Chris Houston Workout, The Action Star Workout, StrengthBoxing, and the Fitness Results Program. Chris has also hosted several training events and has creatively begun the Better Stronger You campaign.
Chris often reminds people that fitness is about much more than getting ripped. It’s about taking control of your life and realizing that you have the power to achieve your dreams. As Chris continues to build his brand, he hopes to make connections that lead to greater inspiration and success for all.
