Making A Better Condom?

By on May 11, 2015

Jason Panda is the CEO / Founder of B an independent condom company, B condoms dedicated to improving the health of disproportionately impacted communities throughout the USA by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning and HIV.

Panda says, “My mother used to run a drug and alcohol facility in Mass. And when the HIV epidemic hit the USA, especially the black community, I knew what it looked like firsthand.”

Jason was selected as a 2013 Echoing Green / Open Society Foundation Black Male Achievement Fellow and a contributor to the Huffington Post and Real Health Magazine. He was recognized as one of the “Top 40 Leaders Under 40” by the New Leaders Council, one of the “Ten Young Entrepreneurs to Watch” by Black Enterprise, one of the Power Players by Planned Parenthood for America and one of the “40 Under 40” by Jet Magazine.

Working with the public and public health leaders, Panda is aware of the staggering HIV/STI infection rates, yet is also encouraged by condom usage.

“Condom usage is actually higher among African Americans versus white Americans yet there is still a lot misconceptions and barriers to increase usage more.”

He is a member of the Strategic Leadership Council for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Jason has also been honored by the New York City Department of Health, the National Action Network and BET for his work around public health in New York City.
